FRM Exam Dates 2026: Complete Schedule & Registration Process

FRM Exam Dates 2026: Complete Schedule

GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) runs the FRM exam three times a year — May, August, and November — for both Part 1 and Part 2. Here’s the full 2026 schedule.

FRM Part 1 Exam Windows (2026)

Window Exam Dates Status
May 2026 Completed Closed
August 2026 Aug 7 – 8, 2026 (AM session) Registration closed
November 2026 Nov 14 – 20, 2026 Open now

FRM Part 2 Exam Windows (2026)

Window Exam Dates Status
May 2026 Completed Closed
August 2026 Aug 7 – 8, 2026 (PM session) Registration closed
November 2026 Nov 21 – 25, 2026 Open now

Note: August is the only window where you can attempt Part 1 and Part 2 on the same day (AM and PM sessions). It’s convenient, but extremely demanding — 180 questions across 8 hours covering the full curriculum. Most candidates find it easier to clear Part 1 first, confirm a pass, then prepare for Part 2 in a later window.

November 2026 Registration Deadlines (Currently Open)

If you’re planning to sit for the November 2026 window, here’s what you need to know right now:

  • Early registration: May 1 – July 31, 2026 (fee: USD 600 per part)
  • Standard registration: August 1 – September 30, 2026 (fee: USD 800 per part)
  • Scheduling deadline (choosing your test date/city via PSI): May 1 – October 2026

Registering early saves you USD 200 per part — for candidates taking both parts eventually, that’s real money saved just by not waiting.

Important: GARP updates deadlines and fees periodically. Always cross-check exact dates on the official GARP FRM exam logistics page before finalizing your plans — this page is updated regularly, but GARP’s site is the final source of truth.

FRM Fee Structure (2026)

  • Enrollment fee: USD 400 (one-time only — charged with your first-ever Part 1 registration, never again, not even for Part 2)
  • Early registration: USD 600 per part
  • Standard registration: USD 800 per part
  • Deferral fee: USD 250 (if you need to move to a later window)

Total cost if registering early for both parts: approximately USD 1,600 (400 enrollment + 600 + 600)

How FRM Registration Works (2-Step Process)

  1. Register and pay — Log into your GARP account, select your part (1 or 2) and window, and pay the registration fee. This secures your seat for that window.
  2. Schedule your PSI appointment — Separately select your specific test date, time, and city through the PSI scheduler. Popular Indian test centers — especially Mumbai and Delhi NCR — fill up quickly, so schedule as soon as you’re confident in your timeline.

What Happens If You Miss a Deadline?

Missing the registration window means waiting for the next sitting — typically a 3-4 month delay. Also worth remembering: Part 2 must be cleared within 4 years of passing Part 1, so if you’re spacing out your attempts, keep that clock in mind.

You’ve Got Your Exam Date — Now Make Sure You’re Ready

Knowing your exam window is step one. Step two is knowing whether you’d actually clear it if you sat today.

FRM Part 1 and Part 2 are calculation-heavy, time-pressured exams — the kind where familiarity with format and pacing matters almost as much as knowing the material. Most candidates who fall short don’t fail because they didn’t study; they fail because exam day was the first time they faced real time pressure with real exam-style questions.

That’s exactly what our FRM mock tests are built for.

  • ✅ 5 full-length mock sets per part, ranging from confidence-building to exam-day-pressure simulation
  • ✅ Detailed, step-by-step explanations — not just right/wrong answers
  • ✅ Realistic question patterns matched to the actual FRM exam structure
  • ✅ Affordable pricing — accessible practice without the cost of premium prep courses

With the November 2026 window still open for registration, you still have time — but the earlier you start simulating real exam conditions, the more gaps you can close before test day.
