5 Mistakes That Cost Candidates the Exam

  1. Starting too late: 6 weeks is not enough for 250+ hours. Start now, register by Sep 30, and use the full 12 weeks until exam day.
  2. Skipping mocks: Candidates who take 3+ full mocks have a significantly higher pass rate.
  3. Ignoring topic weights: Financial Markets and Products is 30% of Part 1. Prioritize by weight.
  4. Memorizing formulas without application: GARP tests whether you can apply a formula to a scenario.
  5. Leaving Current Issues for the last week: Part 2 Current Issues is 10% for low effort — but only if you read the material twice.

Register before September 30. Start studying today. Take at least 3 mocks. Pass.
